Opmerkingen

Teller training notes issued by the People's Bank of China are not commemorative items or promotional pieces — they are functional tools produced for bank employee education, specifically for teaching staff to handle, count, and authenticate the fifth series renminbi without using genuine currency. The 100 yuan denomination was the logical choice given that fifth-series 100 yuan notes carry the most sophisticated security features and are the most counterfeited denomination in circulation.

These practice notes are officially produced but were never intended to leave the banking system. That many did — through retiring staff, institutional disposals, or simple administrative looseness — accounts for their occasional appearance on the collector market.
