| Obverse description | The obverse is dominated by a central vignette of the Salazar Bridge spanning the Quanza River, rendered in fine intaglio line work in blue and green tones. To the right, an oval portrait of the explorer Alexandre Alberto de Serpa Pinto appears within a decorative frame, with his name inscribed below. The bank title and denomination numerals are set in letterpress at the upper border, with a coat of arms at the top centre and the decree date and issue date visible along the upper guilloche band. |
