Obverse description Violet and lilac intaglio note with an ornate guilloche border frame. At right, a vignette portrait of a young boy in Western dress; at centre, a large Arabic text panel stating the denomination and issuing authority. The lower portion carries a serial number in the format F/3 followed by numerals, with the denomination repeated in Arabic script at lower left.

Reverse description Printed in violet on a light guilloche underprint, the reverse carries the English inscription GOVERNMENT OF IRAQ in two lines at the top, with the large numeral 100 and the word FILS centred below. A text band at the lower centre reads CURRENCY NOTE ISSUED AND CONVERTIBLE INTO STERLING IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF LAW NO 44 OF 1931. The numeral 100 is repeated at lower right, and decorative vignette figures appear at left and right within the border.
