Obverse description Purple intaglio on multicolour guilloche underprint. At right, an oval vignette portrays a native woman in three-quarter view holding a flaming torch, flanked by tropical fruit, with the year '1963' printed vertically alongside; the bold denomination 'HONDERD GULDEN' occupies the centre in letterpress, and a radiating fan-shaped guilloche motif appears at lower centre with an oval watermark window at left. The bank title 'CENTRALE BANK VAN SURINAME' runs along the upper margin, while the date '1 SEPTEMBER 1963' and the title 'PRESIDENT' are set at lower centre.

Reverse description Purple on multicolour guilloche underprint. The Coat of Arms of Suriname is centred, rendered in a design distinct from that of the 1957 issue, surrounded by fine guilloche border work. A serial number of two letters and six digits appears, and a text block at lower centre reproduces Article 260 of the Surinamese Criminal Code concerning the forgery and misuse of banknotes.
