备注

The "Screech Owl" series was the last Dutch guilder series before the Netherlands committed to the euro transition, and Jaap Drupsteen's design broke sharply from the pictorial conventions that had defined Dutch banknote art for decades. Drupsteen was primarily a television title sequence and graphic designer — his approach treated the note as an abstract visual system rather than an engraved document, which was genuinely controversial at the Nederlandsche Bank when the designs were first presented.

Enschedé printed the series in Haarlem, as they had for most Dutch currency since the nineteenth century. The 100 guilder note entered circulation in 1992 and remained valid until the guilder's demonetization on 28 January 2002.
