Obverse description Green and red intaglio-printed note with a fine guilloche underprint. An intaglio portrait of communist president Klement Gottwald (1896–1953) occupies the right portion of the note, with the Czechoslovak state emblem above centre. The dominant lettering reads 'STO KORUN ČESKOSLOVENSKÝCH' across the middle, with 'BANKOVKA STÁTNÍ BANKY ČESKOSLOVENSKÉ' above and the date 1989 at lower centre.
