| Obverse description | Central vignette presents an allegorical figure of Romania as a laureate woman in classical chiton, seated and surrounded by six children in various poses, rendered in finely engraved intaglio. A wide ornamental border frames the composition, with an elaborate rinceau guilloche pattern incorporating two value medallions at the upper corners and two blank medallions reserved for the watermark at the lower corners. The denomination and issuing authority inscriptions are distributed across the upper and lower margins. |
