| Beschrijving voorzijde | The central field carries a large Arabic-script denomination vignette reading 'مئة ليرة' (One Hundred Livres), set within an intricate guilloche lacework surround with ornamental arabesque borders. The issuer's name in Arabic, 'بنك سوريا ولبنان الكبير', runs across the upper register alongside the date in Arabic numerals, while two signature lines appear at the lower left. Corner rosettes and geometric latticework frame the composition, with the numeral 100 repeated at each corner, and the engraver and designer credits appear in the lower margin. |

| Opmerkingen |
The Banque de Syrie et du Grand-Liban operated under French Mandate authority, and this 1930 issue reflects that arrangement precisely — a Syrian-Lebanese institution whose notes were printed and technically guaranteed through Paris. The Banque de France handled production, which was not simply a practical convenience but a deliberate assertion of monetary control over the Mandate territories.
Clément Serveau was a respected French illustrator and poster artist; his involvement in banknote design was relatively limited, making his contribution to this series somewhat unusual. Ernest Deloche was a senior engraver at the Banque de France with a long roster of official work behind him.
Pick 33 is the 100 Livres denomination within a series that would be superseded following Syrian and Lebanese moves toward separate monetary arrangements in the 1930s and 1940s.
