| Obverse description | The centre of the note is occupied by an allegorical vignette in intaglio engraving, in which a classical female figure is seated amid symbols of commerce and the arts, accompanied by a child holding the Chilean coat of arms; a second female portrait vignette appears at the right. The denomination '100' appears in large numeral counters at both left and right, with the bank title 'EL BANCO DE VALPARAISO' arching across the upper portion of the note, and the inscription 'PAGARA A LA VISTA AL PORTADOR EN VALPARAISO' below.
