| Obverse description | Single-sided treasury bond note printed by letterpress in black on white paper, centred around an oval vignette bearing the arms of Honduras — a triangle with radiating sun rays encircled by the legend REPUBLICA DE HONDURAS LIBRE SOBERANA E INDEPENDIENTE and the date 15 SETIEMBRE 1821. The denomination text BONO DEL TESORO. / AL PORTADOR VALE $ CIEN. is set in bold letterpress at centre, with the authorising inscription Por la ley de 10 de Febrero de 1866 below, while the class designation 2.a clase and series numeral appear at upper left and right respectively.
