Opmerkingen

The BSP has issued commemorative overprints on circulating peso denominations with some regularity since the 1990s, but the Ateneo Law School note marks a centennial — the school's founding in 1911 — rather than a state occasion, making it an unusual case of a central bank lending its paper to an academic institution's anniversary. These commemorative issues were typically released in limited quantities through the BSP's numismatic program and rarely saw genuine commercial circulation.

Pick 212 is catalogued as a distinct variety rather than a standard issue, which tells you something about how infrequently this kind of institutional overprint gets its own reference number.
