备注	Qatar's 2003 series was the first issued under the Qatar Central Bank following its establishment — the earlier notes had been issued by the Qatar Monetary Agency, which was dissolved and replaced when the Central Bank was formally created in 1993, though the transition to new note designs took another decade. Thomas De La Rue handled the printing throughout both institutions, providing a continuity of production that the institutional change on paper didn't reflect. Security on this series is relatively modest by later standards — watermark and thread only, no optically variable ink. Qatar moved to more sophisticated specifications in subsequent issues.
