Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Mr. Renganaden Seeneevassen (1910–1958), Mauritian jurist and statesman, at centre-left against an elaborate guilloche underprint in red and ochre tones. The Bank of Mauritius coat of arms appears at lower left, while a vignette of a figure of Justice with scales is visible at lower right. Three-language denomination inscription in Tamil, Hindi, and English occupies the centre-right field, accompanied by three facsimile signatures of the First Deputy Governor, Governor, and Second Deputy Governor with year date below.
