| Obverse description | Central vignette presents the main headquarters building of Baanka Somaliland in Hargeisa, framed within an arch-shaped border with fine guilloche underprint in rose and green tones. Denomination numerals appear in all four corners, with Arabic script at left and right flanks, and the bank title in bold letterpress along the top margin. A commemorative overprint in red marks the 5th Anniversary of Independence, dated 18 May 1996, applied diagonally across the face. |
