备注

By 1951, Ecuador had been issuing through the Banco Central for over two decades, but the 100 Sucres remained a denomination that rarely stayed in working-class hands for long. The American Bank Note Company had held the Ecuadorian printing contract through much of the mid-century, and their work on this series is consistent with their intaglio-heavy house style of the period.

The P#104A designation distinguishes it from closely related signature varieties — collectors frequently conflate these, and the differences lie entirely in the official signatories, not the plate work.
