Obverse description At centre-left, a vignette of the National Martyrs' Memorial (Jatiyo Sriti Soudho) at Savar, the national monument erected in memory of those who fell during the 1971 Bangladesh War of Independence. To the right, an architectural vignette of the Sixty Dome Mosque (Shat Gombuj Mosque) in Bagerhat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest surviving sultanate-period mosque in Bangladesh, built by Ulugh Khan Jahan during the Bengal Sultanate.
