背面描述 Printed in green and dark blue on a light green guilloche underprint, the reverse centres on an oval intaglio vignette of the Battle of Liaoluo Bay (1633), with sailing warships and cannon fire rendered in fine line engraving. The vignette is framed within an elaborate scrollwork border, flanked on either side by large ornamental numerals '100' in a rosette surround, with scalloped guilloche panels filling the four corners.

备注

The Bank of Taiwan was reestablished under the Republic of China government in May 1946, shortly after Taiwan's retrocession from Japan following the Second World War. This 100 Yuan note belongs to the earliest series issued under that revived institution — printed on the mainland by the Central Printing Factory before hyperinflation on the mainland and escalating unrest on the island made the currency almost immediately inadequate.

Within two years, the New Taiwan Dollar replaced the Taiwan Yuan at a rate of 40,000 to one. First-series notes like this one had almost no useful circulation life.
