Obverse description The central and right portions of the note are dominated by a large imperial dragon vignette rendered in traditional Chinese brushwork style, drawn from the celebrated Nine Dragons Wall of the Imperial Palace in Beijing. At lower left, a holographic foil patch bears an image of the China Millennium Monument, set against a fine pink guilloche underprint covering the entire field. The denomination 壹佰圆 appears in bold characters at lower centre, flanked by the serial number at lower left and the commemorative inscription 迎接新世纪纪念钞 at lower right.
