| Obverse description | Intaglio portrait of King Matthias Corvinus (Mátyás Király) in three-quarter view occupies the right portion of the note, rendered in fine line engraving against a light blue and yellow guilloche underprint. The left side carries the MNB monogram in red, the Hungarian coat of arms, and the denomination numeral 1000 in large letterpress figures, with the word MILLENNIUM printed in red at the lower left. Two facsimile signatures of bank officials appear centrally, above the issuing authority inscription MAGYAR NEMZETI BANK and the place and date BUDAPEST 2000. |
