Comments

The Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale (BEAC) issues currency collectively for six Central African states, with individual country designation printed on each note — Chad's examples are identified by a country letter code. This creates a persistent cataloging headache, as BEAC notes of identical design and date range were issued simultaneously across multiple member states, with Chad's allocation often running in smaller quantities than those of Cameroon or the Central African Republic.

Two signature combinations are documented for P#10A, reflecting BEAC governor changes during the issue window. Oye Mba served as governor from 1978 to 1990; Mamalepot succeeded him.
