Opmerkingen

Guinea's central bank has issued multiple redesigns of the 1000 Francs over the years, and this series reflects the broader monetary stabilization effort following the hyperinflationary episodes that devastated the Guinean franc in the late 2000s — at one point the currency lost so much purchasing power that this denomination was effectively worthless for most transactions. By 2015, when this series entered circulation, inflation had been brought under partial control through IMF-supported fiscal measures, and the 1000 Francs note regained some practical utility.

Color-shifting ink on a West African mid-denomination note is not a given — its inclusion here reflects increased counterfeiting pressure across the region during this period.
