Opmerkingen

Kulhánek designed the full Czech banknote series introduced after the 1993 dissolution of Czechoslovakia, and this 1000 Kč note — engraved by Václav Fajt at Státní Tiskárna Cenin — is widely considered the strongest piece in that set. Fajt's intaglio work is genuinely fine; the depth and tonal range he achieved through engraving rather than offset printing gives the note a tactile quality that distinguishes it from most contemporary European issues of the period.

The 1996 date places this within the second printing run of P#15, following minor security revisions to the thread specification introduced after the initial 1993 release.
