| Obverse description | Intaglio-printed in deep navy blue and orange-brown on an intricate guilloche underprint, the right half bears an oval vignette with an engraved portrait of Mustafa Kemal Atatürk set within an elaborate scrollwork cartouche, with radiating sunburst lines filling the background behind it. The left half carries a large blank oval watermark space framed by guilloche work. The bank title appears at upper centre in two lines, with the denomination numeral 1000 repeated in each corner and the vertical legend TÜRK LİRASI running along both lateral borders; a red diagonal SPECIMEN overprint and zeroed serial numbers confirm the note's specimen status. |

| Reverse description | The central vignette, enclosed in a rectangular intaglio frame, presents a dramatic engraved view of a railway line cutting through a steep rock gorge at Sakarya, with an open valley and distant townscape visible beyond. Flanking the central scene are two large oval ornamental medallions — the left filled with intricate arabesque guilloche tracery and the right left blank as a watermark panel — all set against a dense engine-turned background in navy blue and warm gold. Denomination panels reading 1000 within TÜRK LİRASI appear in the lower left and lower right corners, with the caption SAKARYA inscribed below the central vignette and the printer's imprint along the bottom margin; a red SPECIMEN overprint runs diagonally across the face. |
