Not a circulated type but a facsimile produced for display or educational purposes — the 1957 1000 Pesetas series (Pick 149) was itself a high-prestige issue, the largest denomination in regular Franco-era circulation at the time. The FNMT printed the originals with considerable engraving depth, and replicas of this specific note tend to mimic that intaglio appearance convincingly enough to warrant caution.
Replicas must be clearly marked as such under Spanish law; unmarked examples have occasionally surfaced in trade as originals, which is the one practical reason a collector needs to know this entry exists.
