| 备注 |
By 1968, Peru's sol had been losing ground to inflation for years, and the 1000-sol denomination — once reserved for large commercial transactions — was becoming a practical necessity for everyday banking. The Banco Central de Reserva had been issuing notes through Thomas De La Rue since the 1950s, a relationship that gave this series consistent intaglio quality but also a certain remove from Peruvian production capacity.
This note predates the 1969 military government's reissues under Velasco Alvarado, which modified certain series markings. P#98 examples dated 1968 are worth distinguishing carefully from the later printings.
