备注	By 1981, Peru's economy was deteriorating rapidly under the weight of accumulated debt and accelerating inflation — the 1000 Soles de Oro, which had been a significant denomination when first introduced in the series, was losing practical value faster than these notes could move through circulation. Within a few years the entire Sol de Oro currency would be replaced by the Inti at a rate of 1,000 to 1, effectively confirming what the street-level exchange rate had already been saying. ABNC's involvement with Peruvian currency stretched back decades, and the intaglio quality on this series is consistent with their late-period work before the company's decline in the mid-1980s.
