| 裏面の説明 | The central tantalum disc features a detailed relief depiction of the planet Mercury, encircled by the elliptical orbital paths of the other planets of the Solar System, conveying a sense of astronomical depth and cosmic scale. In the lower left of the field appears the logo of the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The year of issue, '2025', is inscribed below, accompanied by the legend 'MERCURY' identifying the coin's subject. The outer silver ring frames the design with a stylized sun-shaped border incorporating traditional Kazakh national ornamental motifs, unifying the modern scientific theme with indigenous artistic heritage. |

Kazakhstan's choice of tantalum for this issue is technically ambitious — the metal is notoriously difficult to strike, with a hardness and refractory character that demands tooling far beyond what standard precious-metal dies can sustain. Very few world mints have worked with it successfully, and the rejection rates during production tend to be punishing.
Mercury himself is an odd patron for a Central Asian issuer, though Kazakhstan has leaned into classical mythology for its collector series since the early 2010s, treating the Roman pantheon as internationally legible rather than culturally foreign.
