Obverse description Central oval vignette at left contains a bust portrait of Kim Yuuk-shin in traditional official court attire with a gat hat, set within an ornate scrollwork frame. The denomination 千圓 (One Thousand Won) appears in large intaglio characters at centre-right, flanked by the bank seal and serial number in red. The overall design is printed in rose-red on a light guilloche underprint, with floral corner ornaments and the issuer's name in Chinese characters across the top.

(Translation: Bank of Joseon note, One Thousand Won, Bank of Joseon)
Reverse description Printed entirely in pale blue, the reverse centres on a large 千圓 denomination inscription surrounded by radiating guilloche lines. Cherry blossom sprays occupy the right side, while the issuer's name in Chinese characters is arranged across the upper portion. Numeral 1000 panels appear at upper left, upper right, and lower centre within decorative cartouches, and the manji (卍-derived) ornamental symbols appear at lower left and right corners.
