Global Numismatic Services LP, operating out of Houston, produced this and similar denominations in the series as collectibles marketed through numismatic retailers and online channels around 2013, when polymer novelty notes were briefly fashionable among small private issuers capitalizing on De La Rue and Giesecke & Devrient's mainstream polymer adoption.
