| 正面描述 | Facing head of Persephone (or a local goddess), rendered in fine Sicilian style, with wavy hair flowing loosely to either side and adorned with a stephane or diadem across the brow. The face is depicted in three-quarter frontal view, with delicately modelled features characteristic of late Classical Sicilian engraving. Clusters of grapes or floral ornaments appear to the right of the head, and a small figure or symbol is visible in the lower left field. The design is enclosed within a dotted border. |

Morgantina's silver fractions of this period fall within the city's most turbulent decades — the site changed hands between Sicilian Greeks and Campanians multiple times before Timoleon's reorganization of Sicily following his campaign against Carthage in 339 BC stabilized much of the interior. Whether struck under Greek civic authority or during one of the Campanian occupations remains debated, and the SNG ANS attribution reflects that ambiguity without resolving it.
