Beneath the eagle's head is a guilloche (twisted rope) pattern serving as a ground line, while the upper left corner of the incuse square features a palmette motif emerging from spiralling tendrils. The design elements are characteristic of the artistic vocabulary of the Archaic Cypriot mints. |
