| Obverse description | Macedonian shield rendered in ornate style, filling the entire flan. The shield face is decorated with a central boss surrounded by four symmetrically arranged concentric crescent-shaped panels, each containing an eye-like motif, separated by beaded cross-arms radiating from the centre.
