The upper portion carries Dutch text stating the note is valid for 15 Rijksdaalders or 9 gecartelde Ducatons, followed by a lengthy bilingual body text in Dutch and Malay-Arabic (Jawi) script. The lower section bears the place and date inscription 'Amboina in het Kasteel Victoria, den 29 July 1808', a circular VOC handstamp at centre, and multiple manuscript signatures. |
