正面描述 Printed in brown on pale laid paper, the obverse centres on an ornate guilloche oval cartouche carrying the denomination inscription, surmounted by a crowned lion reclining against a sunburst as the principal vignette. The issuer's name appears in calligraphic script across the upper field, with denomination numerals '16 2/3' repeated in the lower left and right corners within scrollwork borders. The place and date of issue are hand-inscribed at the foot, and the serial number with letter prefix is entered in manuscript in the upper corners.

备注

Sveriges Rikes Ständers Bank — the Riksdag's own bank, predecessor to the Riksbank — issued this note in an awkward denomination that only makes sense within the older Swedish currency arithmetic. Sixteen and two-thirds Riksdaler Banco equalled exactly one-quarter of the base unit in a higher reckoning, a holdover from the multi-tiered relationship between Riksdaler Banco, Riksdaler Riksgälds, and Riksdaler Specie that plagued Swedish monetary accounting well into the nineteenth century.

The denomination disappeared when Sweden decimalized and unified its currency system in 1855, which marks the hard end of this series.
