正面描述 Standing draped figure of Zeus facing, rendered frontally in archaic provincial style, holding a long sceptre or staff in the right hand and a patera or wreath in the extended left hand. The figure stands on a flat exergual line, with drapery rendered in schematic folds. The field is largely plain, with no visible legend on this side due to wear. The coin exhibits a characteristic green patina consistent with long-term burial.

附加信息

Euromus was a minor Carian city whose political fortunes shifted repeatedly under Hellenistic successor kingdoms before passing into Roman provincial administration. Bronze civic issues of this type were produced autonomously under Roman oversight — a common arrangement in western Asia Minor where Rome permitted local coinage to continue handling small-denomination exchange without Roman intervention.

The city is better known to archaeologists than numismatists; its partially standing Temple of Zeus Lepsynos, paid for in part by Hadrian and Antoninus Pius, drew more lasting attention than its coin output.
