| 背面描述 | Central device consisting of a bound bundle of grain ears or thyrsus flanked by two six-pointed stars, one to either side, all within the field. The ethnic legend ΒΑΛΒΟΥΡΕΩΝ is partially visible around the periphery. The composition is typical of Hellenistic civic coinage from inland Lycia, with the symbols likely referencing civic or religious attributes of the city of Balbura. |

Balbura was a minor Lycian city whose civic coinage was produced intermittently across the Hellenistic period, largely reflecting the town's shifting allegiances — first under Rhodian domination after 188 BC, then absorbed into the Lycian League. The SNG von Aulock reference places this squarely within that league coinage tradition, though Balbura's own contributions to the series are modest in volume and the city itself was eventually depopulated by Murena during the Mithridatic wars around 81 BC.
