The Banque des États de l'Afrique Centrale issues currency for six CFA franc member states — Cameroon, Central African Republic, Chad, Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, and Gabon — and a single set of plates serves all of them simultaneously. The letter suffix in the Pick reference (here, C) identifies the national attribution, though the note itself carries no country-specific text. What changes across the series is almost entirely administrative: signature combinations reflecting ministerial and gubernatorial appointments within the member states.

Jean-Félix Mamalepot held the governorship from 1990 to 2007, which is why his signature persists across the full run of this issue without interruption. The rotating second signatories reflect changes on the national side.
