Obverse description	A leopard in repose, facing left, occupies the upper central field. Below the leopard, the commemorative date range '1967-2017' appears in the field, with the denomination '2½ SHILLINGS' displayed prominently beneath in large characters. The circular legend '50TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BANK OF BIAFRA' runs along the upper periphery, and the entire design is framed by a beaded border. Two small decorative rosettes flank the lower legend.

Reverse description	The central device depicts a tall palm tree rising from a stylised rising sun with radiating rays above a body of water, the entire composition enclosed within a crescent-shaped eagle's wings spread to either side — elements derived from the coat of arms of Biafra. The circular legend 'PEACE·UNITY·FREEDOM' runs along the lower periphery, interrupted by two raised dots as separators. The design is set within a plain, smooth border.
