备注

Polizeiliches Durchgangslager Amersfoort was a German SS-run transit and punishment camp in the occupied Netherlands, notorious for brutal conditions even by the standards of the broader camp system. This 2.5 Gulden scrip was part of an internal camp currency scheme introduced in 1944 — a cynical administrative fiction that prisoners could "purchase" goods from a canteen that was, in practice, nearly inaccessible and chronically understocked.

Camp scrip of this type served the occupiers' accounting purposes more than any prisoner's material needs. Amersfoort examples are scarcer than those from Westerbork, reflecting both lower prisoner turnover and the likelihood that surviving inmates had little reason or opportunity to retain these notes after liberation in April 1945.
