Lithuania's euro coinage was struck as specimens well before the country actually adopted the euro — the official changeover didn't happen until January 1, 2015, making early specimen strikes from the pre-accession period numismatically distinct from circulation issues. The extended gap between specimen production and actual monetary adoption means these pieces saw no economic life whatsoever.
