| Obverse description | Central device features a large radiant sun with a human face in high relief, with long alternating plain and striated rays extending toward the periphery. The legend REPUBLICA PERUANA arcs along the upper field, while the date 1886 appears in the lower exergue area. The design is bold and well-executed, consistent with the engraving style of Leonard Charles Wyon. A beaded border frames the entire design. |
