| 背面描述 | Printed predominantly in blue and violet, the reverse carries a detailed intaglio vignette of the Bridgetown Careenage and the Parliament Buildings set against a lush tropical landscape, with a bridge and waterfront in the foreground. The issuer name Central Bank of Barbados runs along the top in a lighter tone, with the denomination Two Dollars at the lower left and $2 at upper-left and lower-right corners. A blank oval watermark window is positioned at the right, framed by fine guilloche lacework, and the printer's imprint DE LA RUE appears in small letters at the base of the central vignette. |

| 备注 |
Barbados had issued 2-dollar notes continuously since 1973, but the 1998 series introduced a revised security thread and updated watermark configuration in response to regional counterfeiting pressure that had affected several Eastern Caribbean currencies through the mid-1990s. The Central Bank had worked with De La Rue on all its series since independence, and the relationship shows in the consistent register quality across the denomination range.
Pick 54 is common in circulated grades; uncirculated examples are harder to find than the low face value might suggest, since these were heavily used in everyday commerce on the island.
