| Rückseitenbeschreibung | The reverse carries a large central vignette of a group of smiling multiethnic Fijian children in the foreground, set before a panoramic view of a packed sports stadium and the distinctive peaks of the Korobasabasaga mountains in the background. "FIJI" appears in bold stylised lettering at upper left, with the denomination numeral "2" at upper right and lower left rendered in an ornate tapa-inspired typeface. The denomination "TWO DOLLARS" is inscribed along the lower portion within a chevron-patterned band, and a small Reserve Bank of Fiji emblem and the De La Rue imprint appear at lower right and left respectively. |

The P#109 series was Fiji's last pre-republican coinage-era paper issue before the 2013 constitutional reset that removed the Queen's image from all currency. De La Rue produced this run in London through both 2007 and 2011 printings, with the two dates distinguished primarily by subtle serial prefix changes rather than any redesign — making date attribution dependent on serial analysis rather than visual inspection.
The Narube/Whiteside signature combination places these firmly within Sitiveni Rabuka's post-coup institutional reconstruction period, when the Reserve Bank worked to restore external creditor confidence after the 2000 George Speight coup's economic fallout.
