This is not a genuine banknote. The United States has never issued a $2 denomination in gold or gold-plated form through any official federal authority. What's described here is a novelty item — typically a standard Federal Reserve Note chemically plated after the fact by a private company and marketed as a collectible. These circulate heavily in the gift and souvenir trade and carry no numismatic premium beyond the underlying note itself.
The plating process has no bearing on collector value and in most cases reduces it, since the coating alters the paper's surface and technically constitutes alteration of U.S. currency.
