正面描述	Oval portrait vignette of explorer Jacques Cartier at lower left, with his name inscribed below. Central vignette of a flotilla of sailing ships under the legend "FLOTTE DE JACQUES CARTIER". Denomination $2 / PIASTRES repeated in corners. Serial number 0261 appears at top centre on both sides. Issued to commemorate the 450th anniversary of Cartier's arrival in Quebec, dated 21 February 1984.

"DEPUIS 1871" appears at top centre.
