The "large dotted numeral" descriptor in this note's catalog name refers to a specific printing variation within the P#54 series — subtle enough that it went unnoticed by many collectors before the series was fully plated. De La Rue introduced incremental security and design modifications across the 1999–2000 printings without changing the Pick number, which is why sub-varieties like this one require close comparison to distinguish in hand.
The half grey windmill see-through register was a De La Rue security feature appearing across several Caribbean issues of this period, designed to complete a printed motif only when held to light.
