Teller training notes are among the more functionally specific items in any collection — produced exclusively for internal bank use, never released into circulation, and normally destroyed after the training cycle ended. China's banking system in the mid-1970s operated under strict party-controlled protocols, and the survival of any example from this period is largely accidental rather than systematic.
These were printed to replicate the feel and handling of genuine currency without being redeemable. The destruction rate was high.
