Aanvullende informatie

Monaco's euro coinage has always been complicated by the principality's non-EU status — it issues under a monetary agreement with France, capped at a tiny annual mintage that keeps virtually every Monaco euro in collector hands rather than circulation. The second portrait of Albert II replaced the first in 2021, meaning examples dated before that transition carry the earlier effigy. This 2025 piece belongs to the later portrait series, which itself will eventually give way whenever the next official portrait is commissioned.
