The golden-toned nickel-brass inner disc contrasts effectively with the silver-toned copper-nickel outer ring. Twelve raised stars encircle the design along the outer ring, in accordance with the standard European Union coinage format. |

| Description du revers | The reverse displays the standard common design for all 2 Euro coins of the eurozone, featuring a large numeral 2 to the left of center and the word EURO superimposed over a stylized relief map of Europe extending to the right. Fine longitudinal lines fill the background behind the map, and twelve stars of the European Union are arranged along the upper right arc of the outer ring, with additional stars and lines continuing along the lower right. The design, by Luc Luycx, occupies the full inner disc of the bimetallic flan. |
