Reverse description The Arms of Monaco displayed on a baroque shield, consisting of fusilly argent and gules (a lozengy pattern of silver and red), surmounted by the princely crown. The shield is flanked by two robed monk supporters standing on a raised plinth, each holding a scroll. The denomination 2 FRANCS is inscribed below the plinth, with the partial date 183_ and a mint mark M visible in the exergue. The engraver's signature E. ROGAT appears to the right. The design is enclosed within a beaded border.
